Dia de los Muertos Goldfish Tank

Dia de los Muertos Goldfish Tank

I thought my goldfish should join in on the holiday fun! Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated on October 31st and November 1st & 2nd. The holiday is a celebration of the lives of loved ones who have passed away and is characterized by brightly painted skulls (sugar skulls), female skeleton figures in bright colorful dresses (la catrina), and flowers like marigolds. I have long been fascinated by this holiday because I love the juxtaposition of dark and light themes. So anyways, I hope you enjoy the photos and video!  This is by far my favorite holiday themed tank I’ve done so far.

SO cute! You should create these packages and sell them!

So colourful and such fun! I love it!

Is the skull the same one from your Halloween tank, and if yes what paints did you use?

Awesome! How did you get that skull painted?
