I Have a few questions. ‘Im new to the goldfish hobby. First, I’ll share that Isuccessfully kept and raised Angelfish several years ago but got out of. So now I have \x26quot;Goldi\x26quot; , I know Goldfish are very different so I want him to be as healthy and happy as possible. I am wondering, how much water flow/movement/turbulence in a tank does a goldfish need/enjoy?( I am using a Penguin 350 W/2 media chambers n 2 Biowheels in a20 gal short-long-wide tank) So I am not talking about gallons per hour filtration, but just water movement once it passes from the filter through the out flow into the tank. Q1) Do goldfish enjoy heavy turbulent water movement to stay strong/healthy – like when it blows around the plant media OR a gentler muffled movement? I have seen some videos where a mesh media can be placed in front of the filter out flow outlets on a filter to slow this waterfall like turbulence. Is doing this ok? Q2) I wonder whether my \x26quot;Goldi\x26quot; needs rest periods from 24/7 swimming so that he doesn’t have to always keep swimming but can linger quietly and sleep if need be? Could you address these questions and more about Goldfish activities n the behaviors of a healthy Goldfish day to day? Thanks so much! Was so glad to find your website and this blog!
