Goldfish Fish Room Design & Plans at My New House

A lot has happened since purchasing my house five months ago. My focus has been on getting settled in, making changes to the house to make it feel more like home (I just finished a DIY kitchen makeover), getting used to my new budget with a mortgage payment, and getting my bearings. Up until now, I haven’t been able to do much with my goldfish other than go out to feed them once a day. I have a gazillion other DIY home improvement projects I’m itching to tackle, but I’ve decided to hold off on those for now in favor of turning my attention back to my goldfish and my fish room.

I have done virtually nothing with the fish garage since moving into this house, which is ridiculous! I did, however, get the air driven filtration all set up and running with a closed PVC pipe circuit around the entire ceiling of the building. I installed valves with airline tubing coming down at various intervals to feed air to the sponge filters in each tank. But that’s about it. It’s rather a mess at the moment, so I haven’t even been wanting to show photos of it. But it’s been so long without any updates, that I figured “the hell with it”!

With that being said, I do have huge plans for this space! I may be a little ambitious with these plans as far as what my budget will allow, but I figure I can do things little by little until I finally accomplish the end goal.

I even have plans for the exterior too. The building seems well-built and is in good shape, but honestly it’s a bit of an eyesore when you look out my kitchen windows into the backyard. So I want to spiffy it up a bit. Stay tuned to keep updated on the fish room progress!

So glad to see you’re still kicking! Your videos inspired me to get my first goldfish tank (and taught me how to do it correctly). Good luck on the room design, that looks amazing. Goldfish Wonderland. \x26lt;3

It gives off a deep blue light that shimmers.  A very efficient, cool to the touch fixture that completely changes the look of your tank at the flick of a switch.  An outstanding product that works well for those fish that are sensitive to bright light.
